CHEMISTRY APTITUDE TEST (CAT)

In 1996, the society started conducting an examination named as “Chemistry Aptitude Test” (CAT) for the students of different schools as Stage – I for class IX and X and Stage – II for class XI and XII students. In the very first year (1996) of CAT, only 234 and 183 students were appeared in Stage – I and Stage – II respectively with only one centre at Agartala. Over the years CAT become very popular to the students and in the year 2012, the enrolled figures reached at 1515 for stage – I and 1182 for stage – II with the centers ranging from south to north Tripura district viz. Dharmanagar, Kailasahar, Kamalpur, Khowai, Agartala, Sonamura, Kathalia, Baikhora, Amarpur and Udaipur. From 2013 CAT is being conducting in four stages viz. CAT – I for Class – IX, CAT – II for Class – X, CAT – III for Class XI and CAT – IV for Class XII. In 2017 the Society has started to conduct Science Aptitude Test for Class VII-VIII. Society intends to set up more and more centers throughout the state to popularize chemistry to the school going students. The tentative time schedules for CAT are:
